Capital of São Paulo warns of risk of overflowing streams

Six people remain hospitalized after attack in Aracruz

The rains that hit the capital of São Paulo this afternoon (30) caused the Emergency Management Center (CGE) to issue alerts for the overflowing of streams in the south of the city. According to the agency, the Pirajussara and Morro do S streams were on the verge of causing flooding in the Campo Limpo region.Capital of São Paulo warns of risk of overflowing streams

In addition, the CGE registered at 16:30, four points of flooding in the city. Two of these locations, in Butantã, west of São Paulo, were impassable.

Strong winds also hit the city. According to the CGE, at Campo de Marte Airport, in the north zone, gusts exceeded 50 kilometers per hour. In the Tremembé region, still in the north zone, there was a record of hailstones.

This Tuesday (29), the capital of São Paulo had several damages caused by the rains. According to the Fire Department, there were 52 calls due to falling trees and 41 requests for flooding. There were also 11 calls related to landslides.
