After the Ministry analyzed the situation of the drivers of school buses, who complained about the capacity within this transport, the Traffic and Land Transportation Authority (ATTT) reported that the decision was made to allow a capacity of 100%.
Carlos Ordoñez, director of the ATTT, explained that for the school bus to have 100% occupancy, it is necessary that the occupants of the vehicle comply with the use of a mask and face shield, otherwise they would be in breach of what is established by the Minsa and capacity would be reduced to 80%.
The authorities detailed that the measure was adopted at a work table between different institutions and representatives of the owners of school buses, where in a first meeting there was talk of a capacity of 80%, but there was a complaint from the carriers.
