CAPAC projects $130 million in mortgages at Housing Expo 2024

The dynamic event for the real estate sector, Expo Housing Capac 2024, inaugurated its twenty-first version on Thursday, April 18 at the Panama Convention Center, in the presence of more than 3,500 attendees, including buyers, and representatives of the public and private sectors.

To be held from April 18 to 21, under the slogan “Conquer your new space”, the Panamanian Chamber of Construction (Capac) expects that during the days of the fair transactions will be generated that exceed 130 million balboas in mortgages made in the 2023 version.

Approximately 15 thousand visitors are expected at Expo Housing Capac 2024, who will be able to learn about and evaluate more than 300 real estate projects presented by its 120 participating exhibitors, bringing together the greatest variety of products and offers in the Panamanian real estate market.

A total of 10 banking entities will be present to serve future buyers and advance the procedures for their new mortgage, said Paul Dávila, president of the Capac Fair Organizing Committee.

The Fairs Committee highlighted the importance of the preferential interest law as an incentive for families to access decent housing, this product being between B/.45 thousand and B/.180 thousand of the most sought after by attendees. .

As a result of the efforts carried out by Capac, in the coming days the debts that the National Government maintains to the developers that participate in the Housing Solidarity Fund program corresponding to the years 2022 and 2023 will be canceled, said Alejandro Ferrer Solís, president of the Capac.

Hours and facilities

The fair is open to the public on Thursday, April 18 and Friday, April 19 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Saturday, April 20 from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Sunday from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. General entry cost is B/.2.00 and B/. 1.00 for children over 12 years old and retirees.

In order to make it easier for visitors to arrive at the venue, the organization offers free transportation from the 5 de Mayo Station to the Panama Convention Center and vice versa. The buses are marked with the Expo logo and are available on Thursday and Friday from 2:30 pm to 9:30 pm, on Saturday from 12:30 pm to 9:30 pm and on Sunday from 10:30 am to 8:30 p.m.

The platform is enabled for the purchase of tickets during the event. The payment methods through the website are by Páguelo Fácil, through VISA debit or credit cards, Yappy and Nequi. There will also be tickets at the box office available to the public.

In coordination with the Construction Industry Training Institute (ICIC), “Do It Yourself” workshops and informative talks will be held within the framework of the exhibition, on Saturday and Sunday.

Among the topics of interest that will be addressed on Saturday, April 20, is the conference How to opt for a mortgage loan and manage your APC?, myths and realities of technologies applied to architecture and urban planning in Panama.

Capac promotes the necessary actions to make the construction industry a means that contributes to the material growth of the country, to the creation of well-distributed wealth, to provide job opportunities to thousands of Panamanians with well-paid salaries and particularly to offer the housing solutions demanded by Panamanian and foreign families residing in the country.
