CAPAC exceeds expectations of home sales during Expo Vivienda 2022

The mortgage transactions carried out at Expo Vivienda CAPAC 2022 exceeded the projections of purchase-sale operations expected for this year with $162 million.

The largest real estate fair in the country, organized by the Panamanian Chamber of Construction (CAPAC), was held from April 21 to 24 at the Panama Convention Center (PCC), where 12,000 people attended and 25,000 people registered virtually. between April 25 to 29, through the platform www.feriascapac.com.

Carlos Allen, president of CAPAC, stressed that the union is working in all areas related to the growth of the sector as a way to boost the country’s economy. He revealed that the organizers are involved in the preparations for the thirty-fifth version of CAPAC Expo Habitat to be held from September 1 to 4, 2022 at the PCC.

For his part, the president of the Fairs Committee, Demetrio Arosemena, said that within this event they had anticipated the sale of 1,000 housing units, however, this amount doubled and reached 2,201 houses and apartments. Of these figures, 89% corresponds to real estate whose value is between $40,000 and $180,000.

“The results achieved are encouraging and are a reflection of an economy that is beginning to take positive steps and boost itself in the face of the reactivation of all the productive sectors of the country,” said Arosemena.

CAPAC highlighted that in this nineteenth version it brought together 75 exhibitors, including 11 private and state mortgage banks and 64 companies dedicated to the development of the industry between promoters and real estate. The best-selling housing projects were located in Panama Oeste, Centro and Este, which are within the range of preferential interest.
