In 2017, the “Amazons of the 4 Winds” were born due to the great love that a group of friends feels for the Peruvian Paso Horse (CPP). This group seeks to promote the CPP through contests and presentations at the national and international level led by its instructor Claude Arbulú Smet, from “Cabalgatas Perú” in Santa Cruz de la Flores
This year the initiative to establish a group of girls between 8 and 10 years old with interest in the CPP called “Amazonitas de los 4 Vientos” was born.following the example and promoting this tradition among the youngest. This group of girls is made up of 6 members: Antonella Jáuregui Canessa, Isabella Atkins Vizcardo, Alejandra More Arbulú, Catalina More Arbulú, Zoé Díaz Valenzuela and Macarena Jurado Alvarado.
Last Sunday, November 10, they managed to obtain second place in the “Girls Modality” in their debut in the “IX National Amazonas Choreography Competition of the Peruvian Paso Horse.” and where the group of Amazonites from Jequetepeque obtained first place, trained by Julia Bringas, ICLM Santa Martha Jequetepeque Kennel
The event is held every year at the headquarters of the “National Association of Breeders and Owners of Peruvian Paso Horses” in Mamacona, and has the objective of promoting the hobby of women on horses and where through initiatives such as Claudia, more girls can continue to join this beautiful Peruvian tradition and continue to grow not only among Amazonas but also among the general public.
