The responsibility, as she said, led Dilma Fernandes, 58 years old, to be the first in line to enter the Celso Suckow da Fonseca Federal Center for Technological Education (Cefet), in Maracanã, north of Rio, for the second day of the Enem 2025 exams. The candidate wants to study medicine and is counting on a good performance this Sunday (16) to achieve high grades and approval. If this happens, it will be the third graduation for Dilma Fernandes, who already has a degree in physical education and physiotherapy.

“Growth doesn’t stop, the mental and physical growth of wanting to dare, transform yourself,” he told Brazil Agencysaying that he prepared for the tests with private teachers and online classes.

Student Cecília Pereira, 18 years old, wants to study veterinary medicine and also arrived early to avoid inconvenience. He took a bus in the Jacaré neighborhood, in the north zone, and did not face traffic. She was second in line.

The student found the language questions in the first test, administered last Sunday (8), difficult, but she is confident.

“In the first test what caught me the most was the essay, but I managed to develop it. It was calm”, he said.

This Sunday, the second day of the tests, candidates will solve natural science and mathematics questions.

Eduarda Fernandes, 18, entered the school as soon as the gates opened, mainly because she was using a crutch due to a fracture in her left foot. Even with this difficulty, he didn’t even think about giving up to go to the psychology course.

“It’s my future, right? Last week I had a cast on. I took it off on Friday and I came today, but I can’t put my foot on the ground. It’s really bothersome”, he revealed.

The father, Márcio Rogério, 55 years old, was there to give his daughter strength. “Even with her foot in a cast, she studied, did everything and prepared herself. She’s nervous, but prepared to pass. That’s normal, it’s part of it. It’s a source of pride for any parent,” he said, smiling.

The young woman prepared for the Enem on a course in the community of Manguinhos, where she lives, with classes from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. “A lot of people in that class were underage trainees. We can’t afford to pay for an outside course. It was essential to have this base for me, because public high school is precarious. I only saw most of the things on this course”, he said, saying that he attended classes after work.

Minutes before the gates closed at 1pm (Brasília time), around six participants arrived almost at the deadline and were told by the counselors to run. Everyone managed to get in.

This Sunday (16), participants answer 45 natural science questions and 45 mathematics.

The second day of tests lasts a maximum of 5 hours, ending at 6:30 pm. Participants can leave the test sites from 3:30 pm. Anyone who wants to take the question book can only leave after 6pm.
