The deadline for candidates to deliver the partial campaign accountability report to the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) starts today (9) and runs until September 13.
The report must contain the record or estimate of the financial movement in money that took place from the beginning of the campaign, on August 16, until September 8.
Since the beginning of the electoral campaign, all candidacies are required to send financial reports, with campaign collection data, every 72 hours to the Electoral Court.
At the system for the dissemination of candidatures and accounts of the Electoral Justice, updated hourly, it is even possible to consult how resources from the Special Fund for Campaign Financing (FEFC) are being spent, for example. To do so, simply enter the application page and scroll down to access information on income and expenses.
In partial accountability, however, candidates must compile in a single report all available information on expenditures and income, including what was received in donations from individuals, with the Individual Taxpayer Registration (CPF) of all donors, as well as all transfers from the Electoral Fund.
On September 15, the TSE will disclose the partial rendering of accounts of candidates and political parties with the indication of the names, CPF of the donors and the respective donated amounts. The CNPJ of all suppliers must also be included in the information.
The final rendering of accounts for each candidate’s campaign must be made within 30 days after the elections are held. The rule applies both to the first round – October 2 – and to the eventual second round – October 30.
