The candidate for the government of São Paulo, Fernando Haddad (PT), participated in a motorcade in Campo Limpo, in the south of the city of São Paulo, and gave a press conference to journalists. To the press, Haddad said that it is necessary to make the subway reach the region, which has 1 million residents who need this means of transport. He also reinforced the need to resume the contract for the duplication of Estrada do M’Boi Mirim, which was cancelled.
Haddad also pointed out that it is necessary to restore the Minha Casa Minha Vida program on site. “We have a lot of people in a watershed area, a lot of occupations, a lot of people in an area of risk and this can only be resolved if Minha Casa Minha Vida comes back because we need a subsidy”. He promised to allocate 2% of ICMS [Imposto sobre Circulação de Mercadorias e Serviços] of the State for housing in these regions if the federal government does not provide the full subsidy.
Already the candidate for the Republicans to the government of the state of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas, fulfilled a closed schedule, during the morning.
