The political party A Different Path, by Arturo Fernández, better known as the candidate of the erotic huaco, has registered the list of his presidential formula to participate in the primary elections, in a similar way to the formula he used Martin Vizcarra to be able to apply.
The plan, admitted by the Decentralized Electoral Committee (CED) of the party, is made up of the sister of the former mayor of Trujillo, Arturo Fernández Bazán, who is currently a fugitive from justice.
The list is made up of Rosario del Pilar Fernández Bazán as presidential candidate, Fernández’s sister, followed by her brother César Arturo Fernández Bazán as first vice president, and Anita María Carnero Paredes de Gonza as second vice president.
COPIED VIZCARRA
The registration of the plan headed by Rosario Fernández is similar to the strategy used by Martín Vizcarra to register his electoral plan, who is disqualified from running. The former president presented his brother, Mario Vizcarra, as a presidential candidate.
This strategy has been questioned by the president of the National Election Jury, Roberto Burneo, who yesterday ratified Vizcarra’s disqualification, reminding him of his impediment to run for any popularly elected position.
In the case of Fernández Bazán, he is running with his sister as the first candidate, since he was removed from his position in Trujillo after a conviction for defamation that led him into hiding.
ONE YEAR IN PRISON
On September 22, the former mayor of Trujillo was sentenced to one year in prison for the case of aggravated defamation against the lawyer and municipal worker Julio Enrique Morillas Rodríguez.
Likewise, he had to pay civil compensation of 20 thousand soles in favor of Morillas Rodríguez, who filed the complaint against the former mayoral authority in 2023, alleging that he had been defamed through social networks.
The former mayor had to be admitted to the El Milagro prison in Trujillo. At this time, an arrest warrant was issued by the court to date and has national scope, which meant that the former mayor can be detained anywhere in the country to comply with the judicial order; However, the former authority escaped conviction.
The ruling came just weeks after Fernández was acquitted in another defamation lawsuit brought by Ricardo Morales, former director of the Huacas de Moche Project.
