The Anticancer Society of Venezuela (SAV) reported this Tuesday, March 28, about the commitment they have to alert the population about prevention measures against cancer.
The teaching coordinator of the SAVMaría Del Pilar Rodríguez, stressed that “it is necessary to talk more about cancer and about the importance of detecting it in time to deal with it, since the Venezuelan population only knows about cancer when they experience a case in the family.”
One of the outstanding actions of the Education Management of the SAV is the annual presentation of the Report “Forecasts of mortality, incidence and rates for cancer in Venezuela” in addition to different programs in schools and companies.
“The SAV plans monthly activities for prevention, education and awareness about cancer, and about the importance of investigations, necessary to diagnose on time. In the case of cancer, if all the actions are carried out to prevent it in time, it will be much easier to cure it, less expensive, and there will be a greater margin to overcome the disease”, they report.
