FOURTH DOSE TO OTHER PATIENTS
In an interview with RPP Noticias, the general director of Strategic Intervention in Public Health of the Minsa, Alexis Holguín, indicated that he is evaluating applying a fourth dose to the rest of the population. “Already at this moment a fourth dose is being given to oncology and transplant patients. (…) They require three primary doses and one booster. With the rest of the population it is being studied”, he pointed.
“Here what we need is more scientific evidence to know when to place it and in whom to place it. Because it is not the same to place it after three months or six months or suddenly a little more. The second important point is who, everyone or a special population. That is what is being worked on and looking for more information”he added.
He also recalled that Currently, very few countries are applying a fourth dose to their population.
