The former Bético player and the former Sevilla player forced the door of the referees’ locker room to protest after Monterrey’s defeat against América in the first leg of the Mexican Apertura final
Sergio Canales and Tecatito Corona They messed it up this past morning after the first leg of the Mexican Apertura final, which his team, Rayados de Monterrey, lost to América (2-1). At the end of the clash, the former Betic player and the former Sevilla player went to the referees’ dressing room to protest a play almost at the end of the duel.
The reason why both footballers complained in Cuauhtémoc to the refereeing body (Víctor Cáseres) was because of a harsh tackle by Ramón Juárez on Corona, which left ‘Tecatito’s’ ankle very badly injured.
According to some Mexican media, this made the América players very angry and there was a brawl behind closed doors. Corona went to the referees’ locker room to show his injury and, as a result, a fight broke out in the locker room tunnel.
Both Corona and Canales tried to force open the door so that the exchange could then begin in a very tense moment.
