Canadian couple found dead in Villa Riva

A couple of Canadian nationality was found lifeless this Friday afternoon at the residence where he lived, located in the municipality of Villa Rivaprovince Duarte.

The deceased were identified as Noel Alain56, and Christine Sauvé, 55, who were about two years residing in the Dominican Republic. The place where the bodies were found is the El Indio Village residential complex.

According to preliminary information, the discovery was made by a couple’s sonwho upon arriving at the home realized that both were without vital signs and proceeded to alert the 9-1-1 emergency system.

  • An unofficial source indicated that two empty pill bottles were found at the scene, although the causes of the deaths are currently unknown.

Bodies are transferred to the Inacif of Santo Domingo

The bodies were picked up by the authorities and sent to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif) in Santo Domingo, where the corresponding autopsy to determine the circumstances of the death.

The case is being investigated jointly by the Public Ministry and the National Police.
