The Ministry of Human Rights and Citizenship (MDHC) launched this Saturday (15), in Belo Horizonte (MG), the campaign “Pule, Play and Care – United for the Protection of Children and Adolescents” for the Carnival of 2025.
According to the minister of the portfolio, Macaé Evaristo, the carnival must be “a space of fun, encounter, democratic coexistence and we skip carnival, but defend and protect each of our children.”
The main concern is the occurrence of child labor and sexual exploitation of children and adolescents. The purpose is to mobilize those who work and who celebrate at Carnival to protect their children and also be aware of the risks that other children and adolescents can run in the revelry.
The campaign advises that if a reveler, merchant, tourist, bus passenger or plane passengers can notice any violation of the rights of children and adolescents inform immediately dial 100 – the free telephone service by MDHC to collect reports, even anonymously, of violations human rights.
“We invite them to be our allies in this campaign because vigilance needs to be permanent from everyone,” says the minister.
Dial 100 work works 24 hours a day every day of the week, including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
The complaints trigger social protection networks, as explained by Macaé Evaristo: “Here in Belo Horizonte we have a scheme on duty of the tutelary councils that articulate with all the protected councils of the metropolitan region. So if you have a lost child, these advice communicate with each other so that this child comes safe at home. ”
The launch of the campaign “Jump, play and take care” It occurred in the rehearsal of the carnival block everyone fits in the world.
