Camoranesi leaves his duties as deputy of Tudor in Marseille after a week

The Italian-Argentine Mauro Camoranesi, assistant to Igor Tudor, the new Croatian coach of Marseille, left his duties after only a week“for personal reasons,” the French club announced on Tuesday.

Camoranesi, capped 55 times and world champion with Italy in 2006, “I really wanted to pursue a solo career”the club told AFP, immediately announcing his replacement, Croatian Hari Vukas.

The Croatian had already been Igor Tudo’s deputyr between 2016 and 2018 at the Turkish clubs Karabükspor and Galatasaray, and then at Udinese in Italy.

The duo met again later in 2020 in the Croatian club Hadjuk Split, for the end of the season.

From June 2021, Vukas coached the Croatian club Dugopolje.
