In the week between March 20 and 26, Highway Patrol inspectors carried out a series of controls on the country’s main routes.
As a result of these procedures, it was possible to delay 336 drivers who were driving under the influence of alcohol, out of more than 6,500 alcohol tests carried out.
The largest number of drunk drivers was registered in the Central Department, totaling 226, according to the institution’s report.
During the week, a total of 426 vehicles were delayed, of which 75 are motorcycles.
