Caminera delayed 605 drivers this week, including several drunk drivers

In the week between June 19 and 25, inspectors from the Highway Patrol carried out routine controls on the main routes of the national territory.

As a result of these procedures, 605 vehicles were delayed, of which 124 were motorcycles, for various violations of the Traffic and Road Safety Law.

According to the weekly report, some 33 drivers were sanctioned for undue overtaking, 17 for lacking a license plate and one for speeding.

On the other hand, 7,520 alcohol tests were carried out throughout the country, with 249 positives. The highest number of drunk drivers corresponds again to the Central department, amounting to 155.

During this week, a total of 54 road mishaps were reported in the jurisdiction of the Highway Patrol, of which 39 were recorded without personal injury, 10 with a balance of injuries and 5 with fatal results. In this way, the report closed with 14 people injured and 6 deceased.
