He Dominican Accreditation Organization (Odac) delivered to the Cluster of Cambita Avocado the certification of designation of origin that from now on will distinguish the avocado from this municipality of San Cristóbal.
He Ministry of Industry and CommerceVíctor -Ito- Bisonó, assured that with this step to Cambita avocado The doors of markets as demanding as the European one are opened, by obtaining the technical support that exporters need to compete with guarantees, traceability and international reputation.
This product is born in exceptional agroclimatic conditions that differentiate and they give him authenticity.
The official indicated that the ODAC is already fully empowered to accredit denominations of origin in the country, which means that Dominican Republic stops depending on foreign organizations to validate the quality of its products.
“This strengthens our institutions, protects our technical sovereignty and opens opportunities for other national sectors that also aspire to compete in international markets,” he noted.
The delivery was made within the framework of the Constitution Multisector Fairof the Loyola College, in San Cristobal.
The event was attended by Pure Casillagovernor of San Cristóbal; Gustavo Lara Salazarsenator of the province; and Nelson de la Rosamayor of San Cristóbal.
