The House of Representatives approved today (10) for 310 votes favorable and 116 opposites, the bill that creates the Caixa Foundation, linked to Caixa Econômica Federal.
The non -profit entity will have the purpose of foster the reduction of social, economic and regional inequalities, the sustainable and adaptable development of cities and biomes. The matter follows for Senate appreciation.
To this end, it will support actions, projects and public policies that promote equitable and inclusive access to cities, education, social assistance, culture, sport, science, technology and innovation.
Under the proposal, the assets will be donated by Caixa Econômica Federal, in quantity and value that enable its performance. Subsidiaries may make periodic, non -refundable pecuniary contributions to the foundation.
The new entity also will have as source of resources, those from agreements, agreements and contracts celebrated with entities, bodies and companies; donations, legacies, grants and other resources intended for it; and income from financial investments and other equity rents..
By the project, the Caixa Foundation may remunerate the directors. The project says that the payment of transportation, lodging, food and other administrative expenses may be allowed, as provided by statutory forecast.
The legal regime of the Caixa Foundation personnel will be that of the Consolidation of Labor Laws (CLT). The entity may also count on employees of the bank, through sharing, and public servants or public employees.
Transparency
To ensure the transparency of its activities, according to the project, the entity should keep on the internet Information on its social status and bylaws, composition and remuneration of its leaders.
Another point is that, although it has financial and patrimonial autonomy, regulated by private law, the Foundation may be audited by the Federal Court of Auditors (TCU).
