CDMX, Mexico.- In recent days, through social networks, the disappearance of a Cuban driver and the murder of another citizen, both residents of Camagüey, have emerged. In the case of the second, it is Yudel López Álvarez who was reported missing on February 1 and who was later found lifeless.
The man, the father of two teenagers, was murdered to steal his cell phone and the pedicab where he worked. Yesterday her cousin Liuty Álvarez wrote on her Facebook profile: “He was found dead in Camagüey by two scum, two rotten souls without hearts, without feelings, without knowing that they were leaving a destroyed family.”
The journalist from Camagüey, José Luis Tan, contacted a source close to the victim and revealed details of the unfortunate event.
“They stabbed him until he was defenseless, until they took him to a house and there they finished him off in the most inhuman way that exists. They put his body in a sack with a stone and threw it into the river. Everything was discovered because the murderers were selling the tricycle in Vertientes and they were caught, ”he pointed out.
Also a native of Camagüey, Guperto Rafael Cánovas Adán, has been missing since yesterday Friday morning. The old man works as a taxi driver and was rented by a woman and two men. He went to the provincial terminal to contact them and since then his family has not heard from him.
When they call his cell phone, they get no response, except for an automated message stating that it is turned off or out of coverage area.

Denunciations on social networks of assaults in the middle of a public thoroughfare, seizures of cell phones, bags and backpacks are becoming more frequent; as well as gender-based murders or to rob the victims. Despite this, the Cuban authorities are silent on the matter and hide the official figures on the violence.
