The governor of Santa Cruz, Luis Fernando Camacho, appeared this Thursday before the Prosecutor’s Office to give his statement within the investigation of the project of departmental decree 373, and said that it did not enter into force.
“Based on the questions asked by the Police and the Public Ministry, I provided all the details that no crime was committed here, nor did Decree 373 come into force,” Camacho said.
“Yesterday I made my spontaneous presentation, taking into account that there was some concern on the part of the MAS authorities as to why I did not declare, well, I presented myself and the hearing was scheduled for this morning, I was present and gave my statement” , he pointed.

Upon his departure from the Public Ministry, he indicated that he will appear as many times as necessary and hopes to be summoned to be questioned.
He stated that he declared all the details based on the questions asked by the Prosecutor’s Office.
In relation to the summons by the Commission for Territorial Organization of the State and Autonomies of the Legislative Assembly, Camacho reiterated that his attendance will be subject to the work agenda.
At the end of last March, the Public Ministry accepted the criminal accusation against Governor Camacho, for the alleged crimes of resolution contrary to the Constitution, the laws and breach of duties, for the issuance of Departmental Decree 373, which delegated functions of deputy governor to the secretary of Institutional Management.
The action was filed by the MAS departmental assemblyman Clemente Ramos.
