The Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Juan Ramón de la Fuente, called for unity to face the circumstances that may arise and affect our fellow citizens in the United States, and assured, on a working tour of Los Angeles, California, that These are times of working together and joining forces in a coordinated, structured and effective manner.

He recalled that the strengthening of the consular network in that nation constitutes the main priority of Mexico’s foreign policy. He highlighted that the federal government has gone ahead so that all Mexican migrants know, without exception and with absolute clarity, that you are not and will not be alone
.
He added that there is a general legal protection and defense strategy, coordinated by President Claudia Sheinbaum, which will be complemented by specific strategies in each of the 53 consulates in that country.
In a meeting with leaders of the Mexican community, where he was accompanied by the Mexican ambassador to the United States, Esteban Moctezuma Barragán, among other officials, he emphasized that unity is essential for better coordination of efforts with the consulates, that sends a powerful message to fellow citizens of what is being done to protect and promote their interests

Strengthen the strategy
Later, in a meeting with the Mexican consuls on the west coast, Foreign Minister De la Fuente reiterated that all available resources will be deployed in the legal defense of the countrymen, hand in hand with the lawyers of the PALE Program, with whom 329 legal advisors have already been hired initially.
He highlighted that recommendations are being issued that allow Mexicans in that nation to take preventive measures, and those cases where respect for their rights is not respected or where due process is not observed will be monitored.
He reported that legal firms, including law schools and professionals who wish to join, will be called to strengthen the legal defense strategy, which takes into consideration the international legal framework, as well as federal and state legislation.
