Cálidda closed an operation for US$45 million with IDB Invest

The company announced that it closed an operation for US$45 million with IDB Invest, a member of the IDB Group, through which they aim to enhance the reach of the CrediCálidda program.

The Finance Director of warm, Mario Caballero stressed that they are the first company in the hydrocarbons sector in Peru to achieve an operation of this type.

“We are very happy to achieve this milestone with a multilateral with a track record like IDB Invest. We are the first company in the hydrocarbons sector in Peru to achieve a transaction of this type and that will allow us to speed up CrediCálidda placements over the next two years,” he assured.

PLACEMENTS

What does CrediCálidda consist of? It is a financial inclusion program that provides access to financing and is aimed especially at unbanked and low-income users, such as those belonging to socioeconomic levels C, D and E, which represent more than 90% of users served by warm.

With the resources provided through this program, families can purchase gas appliances, electrical appliances, technology equipment, construction materials, and home finishes, among others.

The program offers a loan of up to S/5,000 for a maximum term of 60 months, where the main requirement is to have good payment behavior with Cálidda during the last 12 months.

To access the credit, the user only has to approach the customer service centers with their ID or call the Cálidda Call Center, or approach any of the allies linked to the program and points of sale.

By 2023, CrediCálidda placements are expected to total more than US$22 million, and it is expected to place more than 82,000 loans by 2024.
