CAL calls for consensus between the Government and Congress: Adopt solutions to serious problems

The Lima Bar Association (CAL) exhorted the Can Executive and to the Legislative to reach consensus with the aim of strengthening the country and thus “urgently stop and avoid further undermining the existing institutional precariousness.” In this way, it seeks to prevent the territory from falling into crisis situations.

“It is irresponsible to postpone the need for this political agreementbecause it would further weaken the expectations of the Peruvian people who for a long time to date, tired of what they observe, with good judgment and due to their long experience, just wait for this political decision to get off the ground”, says this institution through a statement.

Along the same lines, the CAL urged the Government and the Congress to what “Adopt consensual solutions to the serious problems in which we are involved”. As the main problem, the lawyers’ union blames the “political crisis that becomes systematic” and ensures that the current political class has led the country to said situation because “it left aside the banner of the common good that should guide the exercise of power , to inversely favor the private”.

The document, signed by the dean of the CAL, Cesar Bazanargues that the population wants a change in the political system through the “cleaning up of its legitimacy”, in order to “maintain it, and if necessary, amend it in a timely manner”.
