The Caja Petrolera de Salud (CPS) reported on Thursday morning that the supposed withdrawal memorandum from the president of the Committee for Santa Cruz, Rómulo Calvo, “is not an official statement.”
“The Caja Petrolera de Salud (CPS) informs the public that the memorandum DNRH-M-011/2021 (…) is not an official document of our institution,” reported the CPS, through its official website of Facebook.
Earlier, the memorandum mentioned in the note from the Petroleum company circulated, in which it was reported that Calvo had been retired for “abandonment of functions.”
The note was dated November 17, 2021 and stated that due to an unjustified absence from a job source “constitutes the termination of their employment relationship due to voluntary retirement.”
In his capacity as president of the Santa Cruz civic institution, Calvo called for an indefinite strike against Law 1386, which was repealed on Tuesday by incumbent president David Choquehuanca.
The leader of the committee participated in the strike and mobilizations during the nine days of protests in the eastern capital.
