Caja Ica promotes female talent and potential with financing and training for entrepreneurs

In Peru, despite the barriers in access to specialized training and flexible financing, the strength and vision of thousands of women are the pillar of the family economy. Aware of this reality, Caja Ica has deployed a comprehensive strategy to enhance female talent, combining business training, personalized mentoring and innovative financial tools.

High-level education and support

One of the initiatives in which the Ica entity participates is the “Mujer, que tu Negocio Crezca Más” program, developed by Centrum PUCP and to which Caja Ica has joined as a strategic ally for three consecutive editions. As a result of this alliance, scholarships have been awarded to entrepreneurs in the region with free access to workshops on Administration and Finance, Marketing and Leadership, as well as Innovation and Sustainability.

This effort is complemented by the “Crezando Juntos” mentoring program, where volunteers from Caja Ica offer personalized support. This support helps participants execute their action plan, resolve real challenges and consolidate a more orderly and strategic vision of their economic activities.

So far, more than 100 women have been part of this training process, which has strengthened not only their businesses, but also their confidence and leadership.

Credit for female autonomy

In addition to training, Caja Ica has launched the “Entrepreneurial Woman” credit, a financial tool designed for the autonomy of businesswomen. This product was created specifically for women with independent economic activities who, due to various circumstances, cannot include their spouse or partner in the application.

Some of the characteristics of the credit are:

– Autonomous access: Allows individual financing, even in cases of de facto union.

– Flexible amounts: Adapts to formal and informal entrepreneurs, with amounts from S/500 to S/12,000.

– Various guarantees: Accepts movable property, artifacts or real estate guarantees, and includes special subdestinations such as sanitation or pallaquera activities, the latter related to artisanal mining.

As an added value, clients can access insurance for cancer diagnosis after disbursement, an additional way to provide support for their well-being.

Looking to the future

Thanks to this triple formula of education, support and specialized financing, Caja Ica has managed to promote stronger, more organized businesses with a greater vision for the future.

The commitment to the economic empowerment of women is projected to 2026, as the “Mujer, que tu Negocio Crezca Más” program will expand its impact, also reaching Ayacucho and Lima, thus allowing more entrepreneurs to access this free, high-level training.

With 36 years of experience, Caja Ica reaffirms its role as an engine of regional development, transforming ideas into sustainable businesses and strengthening female leadership in the Peruvian economy.
