With the laying of the first stone, Huancayo Box and the Caja Huancayo Foundation, in agreement with the District Municipality of La Victoria, began the execution of the project called “Improvement of the Indoamérica sports complex and El Emprendedor park”, located in the commercial emporium of Gamarra, an initiative aimed at the sustainable recovery of recreational spaces in this area.

The work, which is part of the Social Responsibility program “Recovering Spaces”, will have an approximate execution period of two months and seeks to revalue public space through responsible, inclusive interventions with long social impact aligned with the SDGs of the 2030 agenda.

This comprehensive intervention includes the rehabilitation of two synthetic grass fields, parking areas, parks and gardens, as well as the improvement of the general architecture of the park.

Likewise, work will be carried out on metal carpentry floors, painting, perimeter mesh, maintenance of green areas and implementation and adaptation of sanitary and electrical installations, prioritizing the efficient use of resources and care of the urban environment.

These actions will contribute significantly to the recovery of a key public space for sports practice, neighborhood integration and the appropriate use of free time of children, young people and families in the area, contributing significantly to the improvement of the quality of life of the population, promoting sports practice, neighborhood integration and the responsible use of free time of families in the district of La Victoria, in a more orderly and resilient urban environment.

In this way, Caja Huancayo and the Caja Huancayo Foundation reaffirm their commitment to sustainable urban development, the recovery of public spaces and the strengthening of social well-being in areas of high economic activity such as Gamarra, promoting operations coordinated with local governments for the benefit of the community and the urban environment, through concrete actions aligned with the goals of the Sustainable Development Goals.
