Cadeca extends a new cash transfer service to all its branches

The Cuban commercial company Casas de Cambio SA (Cadeca) reported on Monday the extension to all its branches of the cash transfer service to credit accounts associated with magnetic cards in Cuban pesos (CUP) of natural persons.

The financial institution exposed through its Twitter account that in all its offices the population can benefit from this service, initially implemented since the beginning of the month in the provinces of Cienfuegos, Pinar del Río and Holguín, according to a report of the Cuban News Agency (ACN).

Until then, this type of cash transfer to accounts associated with magnetic cards could only be provided at bank offices.

Cadeca specifies that to access this option, customers must attend the offices with their identification, the money in national currency and the card to which they wish to credit the cash.

It also clarifies that these operations will be executed in real time, and that the cashier will give the customer a receipt as proof of the veracity of the operation carried out.

The ACN recalls that since 2021, in keeping with the monetary ordering process in Cuba, Cadeca began to expand the services it provides to the population, institutions and forms of non-state management.

Previously, its functions were based fundamentally on the exchange and exchange of foreign currencies, operations that it continues to carry out, although in the case of the sale of foreign currency only in some selected branches throughout the country.
