The president of the Chamber of Commerce of Arequipa, Julio Cáceres Arceexpressed concern about the absence of President Dina Boluarte and members of her ministerial cabinet at the inauguration of the Annual Executive Convention (CADE)a highly relevant business event. In his statements, he highlighted that the lack of political representation creates a great vacuum that can affect the development of the country.
Along these lines, he regretted that despite the invitations they are not present, however, he maintained that despite this he does not believe that they are unrelated or behind the businessmen’s backs. “I still have hope that they will arrive,” he said for Canal N.
“There are some congressmen who are accompanying us, the presence of a minister was announced and we hope that during the course of this afternoon and tomorrow we will have the presence of the president, here in Arequipa we receive her with respectapplauding what is new and criticizing when it does not work properly,” he added.
It is the right event for Dina Boluarte to express her State policy
Likewise, the president of the Chamber also referred to the political context in which the event takes place, where he mentioned the lack of presence of Dina Boluarte: “It is an issue that is still handled with the reserve of the case, but I believe that there is the right audience for the president to be able to explain what she is really considering with her State policy. It would be creating a vacuum if the political part is not present “.
Regarding the recent dismissal of the Minister of Agriculture, Rómulo Mucho, Cáceres Arce commented that being involved in the country’s politics has its repercussions, although he also recognized that Mucho had done significant work during his administration. “Politics takes its toll and in this case it took a lot on the minister, but in the general context he has done quite an interesting job, he has not been allowed to act as he would have wanted. The cabinet needed some oxygenation and not just from one minister” , he pointed out.
Finally, Fernández did not fail to point out the crisis that the region is going through due to the blockades of the roads to Lima and the gas crisis, situations that, according to him, have not received an adequate response from the Executive. “Today we have to regret that there have been 8 days of blockade of the roads that come from Arequipa to Lima. The gas has quadrupled and there is no response from the Executive, there is no principle of authority. I do not feel a response from the Minister of the Interior and even less from the Transportation,” he concluded.
From the Presidency of the Council of Ministers they assured La República that President Dina Boluarte will travel to Arequipa to participate in the CADE.
