CADE Executives 2022: Get to know the program and exhibitors of the business forum

After two years of being held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the CADE Executives 2022 -organized by IPAE- returns in person from November 8 to 10 in Paracas (Ica).

In this 60th edition, the motto tries to be consistent with the current times: “Peru in emergency, Peruvians in action”.

This year’s Committee is chaired by Felipe Valencia-Dongo, main partner of the Strategy Group. He is accompanied by: Gonzalo Galdos, president of IPAE; Rosario Bazán, president of CADE Executives 2021 and founder of Danper; Elena Conterno, former president of IPAE; Adriana Giudice, general manager of Austral; Lorena Sandoval, president of SAVI Motors and former president of the Cajamarca Chamber of Commerce and Production.

Also Felipe Ortiz de Zevallos, founder and president of Apoyo; Elohim Monard, co-founder of CiviClass; Oswaldo Sandoval, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Grupo Sandoval; Juan Antonio Castro, director of IPAE; Caroline Gibu, Executive Director of Ciudadanos al Día; and Carlos Gallardo, manager of National Development of IPAE.

What will be the axes that will be addressed?

According to CADE 2022, this edition will promote the sense of urgency, union and action that is required by addressing the essentials to advance as a country:

1. Private investment for progress.
2. State it works.
3. Solid institutionality and democracy.

First working day

On the first day of the business forum, the inauguration will be held and the following topics will be addressed:

• Peru in emergency, with the comments of Juan Fernando Correa, country manager of the Falabella Group; Nuria Esparch, public policy expert and senior manager of Institutional Relations at Southern Peru; and Carmen Mc Evoy, president of the Board of Directors of Proética.
• How to stop the destruction of a country?with insights from Moisés Naím (Venezuela), Distinguished Fellow of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
• Vision of the future of young peoplewill have Gonzalo Adriazola, Yuliño Anastacio, Antonella Romero and Fiorella Torres from the initiative Jovenes en CADE.
• Business leadership for a united and developed Peru, where Carlos Neuhaus, executive president of the Association of Shopping Centers of Peru will participate; and Jessica Rodríguez, executive director of Art Atlas and former president of the Arequipa Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

second day

During the second day of this event (Wednesday, November 9), the Minister of Economy and Finance, Kurt Burneo, and the President of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru, Julio Velarde, will attend.

• Private investment for progress: necessary leadership and proposals to reactivate private investment with Waldo Mendoza.
• Jobs at risk: Problems and challenges facing private investment in the current context to generate decent employmentin which they will participate as exhibitors Oscar Caipo, president of Confiep; Paola del Carpio Pone, coordinator of the Development Studies Network Research; Y John Stoesselgeneral director of Casa Andina Hotels: as well as Luis Villanueva, president of the Association for Work (APT).

• Route to boost private investment and growthwith the presentation of the head of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), Kurt Burneo.

third day

Thursday, November 10 will be the last day of CADE Executives 2022 with solid institutions and democracy that will be addressed by the following speakers in different forums:

• Towards a political system that works, Adriana Urrutia, president of the Transparency Civil Association, will present.
• Damage control of institutional deterioration, will have the participation of Elvia Barrios, president of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Republic and of the Judicial Power, Patricia Benavides, Prosecutor of the Nation; and Eliana Revollar, Ombudsman.
• Between corruption, violence and illegalitywith the participation of Carlos Basombrio, security researcher.

At the close of this event, CADE will address the forum Concrete Proposals to build a more developed country with opportunities for all citizens, by David Tuesta, president of the Private Competitiveness Council (CPC).

The conclusions of this 60 editions will be in charge of Felipe Valencia-Dongo, president of CADE Executives 2022; and the closing by Gonzalo Galdos, president of IPAE.

IPAE included the participation of President Pedro Castillo at the closing of the traditional meeting, however it specified that his presence has not yet been confirmed.
