Cade Education: "IA leads to better learning results"

What will be the role of artificial intelligence in the formation of Peruvians of the future? This and other questions will be addressed in CADE Education 2025, organized by IPAE Business Action, which begins on August 13. Alfredo Persico, member of the Organizing Committee, reviews some aspects.

How viable is that we can use artificial intelligence to educate children?

There are areas of our life in which artificial intelligence has come to stay. What are we seeing today? A hyperpersonalization of the learning process and, above all, the possibility of talking, discerning, asking and deepening. The logic of learning is no longer based simply on reading to memorize, but on dialogue to learn, addressing precisely the doubts that are being generated in real time.

In the case of the teacher, how does it contribute?

The teacher who lived doing planning, evaluations, instructional designs and, suddenly, the AI solves that issue when he gives him all the inputs he needs to organize these instruments, which are finally part of their classroom management.

How broad is the potential that artificial intelligence gives you to improve productivity in education?

Not only does it improve productivity, but I reach better learning results. I learn more and better. So, I not only learn or attend more things in the time that I used to take care of one, but now I can achieve learning that I act faster than ever in history. Because this technology called artificial intelligence, let’s put the last name: generative, it has the ability to collaborate with us.

Is it going to complement or replace books?

I think he will complement the books. People are going to continue using them, they will continue to be a reference source, but suddenly you will be chatting with a book. You will be using it as a dataset to create an invention. Then, you load the book, you load the article and say: “On the basis of all this information, I need to create this invention. I have thought about this and this other way.” So, you will continue to need knowledge, because AI does not generate knowledge, generates information, content. And you will use it in a much faster and faster way in the collaboration process to create new things, new knowledge, inventions, ventures.

In addition to the problem of gaps that exists in the field of Internet access, there are also the costs of access to AI. How do we face this challenge?

I think there will be an increasingly strong process of democratization. That is, it is increasingly cheaper and accessible to be able to have such resources in the daily life of your work. There will not be a problem on that side.
