The mypes They have great importance in the country because they represent 99% of the business community, however, they need to improve their productivity, said the Central Manager of Companies and Corporations of the BCP, Luis Alfonso Carreras.
“The productivity of mypes is 20 times lower than that of a corporate company,” he stated during his participation in the block “Companies that transform: shared value strategies to generate well-being” of CADE 2025.
For this reason, he pointed out that they are committed to bringing education and financial inclusion to this entire ecosystem. He even pointed out that with the work they have done they achieved the inclusion of a million people.
In addition, he considered that a problem that arises is informality in this sector, which affects more than 70% of workers and does not allow these businesses to prosper.
“Unfortunately, informality has not been reduced, and it is not viable to have a prosperous company in a country that does not prosper, but to have a country that prospers we need to combat informality,” he said.
For his part, the Central Business Manager of Caja Arequipa, Luis Gallegos, assured that 77% of Caja Arequipa’s portfolio are microentrepreneurs. In this entity, he indicated that they have found the need to protect these people and their families. In addition, he highlighted that around 52% of his clients are women.
