Fernando Barrios, president of the organizing committee, announced that the central point of the forum will be the presentation of a proposal for a vision of the country by Luis Carranza, former Minister of Economy and current columnist for Perú21.
Barrios explained that the proposal will include specific plans and policies, the result of meetings with experts, national think tanks and the consensus of the committee.
“What we want to do at CADE Ejecutivos is a symbolic act, because we are going to deliver this vision of the country to trade unionists, businessmen, young people and people from civil society so that they feel empowered to put on the agenda and defend what we consider to be a vision of a prosperous country. It is our right to dream about it,” said Barrios.
In turn, Gonzalo Galdos, president of IPAE Acción Empresarial, said that in the midst of the crisis of leadership, politics and institutional weakness, businessmen are committed to formulating a guiding framework that allows us to glimpse a way out of the current decomposition.
“This guiding framework that can tell us what we can do, where we should go, to regain this feeling that we are building the future, is this vision of the country that we are going to present,” he said.
