The Minister of Tourism, Ali Padrón, informed this Tuesday, April 26, in his social media that the cable car system that works in the El Ávila National Park (Warairarepano) will begin major maintenance and repair work starting Monday, May 2.

In that sense, Padrón indicated that the only way that citizens will have to visit Galipán and the park on top of the mountain will be by land, specifically through the entrance of the Cotiza sector.

He stressed that after carrying out the repairs, of which he did not give an estimated completion time, they will deliver a “new cable car.”

On April 18, the president of Venezuelan Cable Cars (Ventel), Víctor Cruz, had anticipated the possibility that the maintenance work could be extended from four to six months and that in that time the cables and electromechanical parts will be replaced, for which Nicolás Maduro has already approved the necessary resources. .
