Cabinet approves price control for 10 products of the basic basket

The cabinet council approved this Tuesday to establish a price control for 10 products of the basic food basket to stop the increase and ensure supply in the country, this measure will take effect from the date until December 2022.

As reported by the cabinet, a top price is established for the stifle of B/.6.60 per kilogram; the 155-gram non-spicy sardine in tomato sauce is set at 51 hundredths; the prickly pear in water of 142 grams in B/. 1.31; the national mortadella with pepper packed in one kilogram in B/. 7.15 and the packaged national frankfurter sausage of one kilogram at B/.4.72.

While the 454-gram coditos are set at 69 hundredths, the 454-gram macaroni at 63 hundredths, the one-kilogram michita bread at B/. 3.08, the one-kilogram lentil in B/. 1.79 and national and imported vegetable oil from 1.42 to 1.50 liters in B/.3.74.
With this adjustment, an estimated saving of the basic basket of B/.21 will be generated from July to December 2022.
