Cabello: “Workers must be on the front line against corruption”

“Nothing should stop us when it comes to confronting those who steal our People’s money,” said the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, during his speech at the end of the march “The Honest We Are More ”, in support of the actions undertaken by the Venezuelan State to eradicate corruption.

From the headquarters of Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) in the city of Caracas, the psuvista leader pointed out that the national Executive is willing to face this scourge against anyone who commits this crime “whatever it is called.”

He reiterated that this crusade against corruption will not only be against public officials but against all the so-called “businessmen” who are part of these networks.

“It is not only the civil servants, it is also the businessmen (…). That businessman who is not a businessman at all because if you look at him 4 or 5 years ago he was clean and you see them now and they have offices and yachts that are not the result of inheritance from their parents, but the result of robbery or extortion ”, he claimed.

He asked the workers to be attentive to any defect in the institutions and denounce with evidence so that the State takes action on the matter. “Workers have to be on the front line of the fight against corruption,” he said.

He assured that if someone knows that they have ethical deviations, they should not accept a position within public institutions. “This revolution is ethical, otherwise it is nothing,” he added.
