Cabello: We will not allow anything like Guaidó

Cabello: González Urrutia is afraid to take responsibility for what he caused

The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, said on his television program Con el Mazo Dando, that the Bolivarian Government “will not allow anything similar to (Juan) Guaidó,” in clear reference to the illegal self-swearing-in as “interim president” that the extremist opposition carried out in January 2019.

Cabello’s comment comes in response to the claims of right-wing leader Edmundo González Urrutia, who rejected the results of the July 28 election and called for violence in an attempt to force the overthrow of the legitimate government.

He pointed out that in this new arrangement of opposition extremism, they have sought to impose a narrative against the Revolution and the victory of President Nicolás Maduro in the last presidential elections.

“I told them that those who talk about freedom of expression and make up a whole story are exposed. We knew what was going to happen. And Venezuela has been attacked by all the digital fascism that is nothing more than trying to impose a criterion that only serves fascist interests (…),” he said.

Disinformation campaign

Cabello said that thanks to the revolutionary government, the country is in peace and tranquility, “despite the fact that the smoke sellers try to position other matrices on social networks and in the media.”

“Have you heard of any violent protests in Venezuela today or two days ago? No, everything is peaceful in Venezuela, everything is calm, but of course the smoke-mongers want to make it seem as if Venezuela is on fire,” he said.

In this regard, he recalled that Venezuelans have already seen and experienced this film. At the same time, he pointed out that for these actions against Venezuela, the far-right sectors hire influencers.

“They attack their own country, they are traitors (…) you know them,” he said.
