He first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, questioned the attitude of the National Assembly of Panama for interfering in the internal affairs of the country.
“Now a question: Who gave them a candle at this funeral? Why do they stick their noses here in the internal affairs of Venezuela? “Who pays for that?” Cabello expressed in his program With the Gavel Giving No. 501 in reference to the interventionist decision of the Panamanian Parliament to ignore the result of the presidential elections of July 28, in which President Nicolás Maduro was the winner.
In that sense, he indicated that, instead of being aware of Venezuela’s internal affairs, “they should be concerned about what is happening in Panama, about the disaster that that country is,” he stated.
“When one talks about Panama one remembers (Simón) Bolívar and (Omar) Torrijos; Bolívar because he considered it the center of the world (…) and Torrijos because it was the face of the dignity of that people for a long time, not now, a Congress that gets involved in the internal affairs of Venezuela, be careful because you can get away with something. wheel your cart,” he said.
Furthermore, he emphasized the naivety of the Panamanian government that continues to believe that “the gringos are their friends, remember that they invaded them once, and how many people they killed, how many innocent people they murdered.”
