Cabello to Interpol: Weapons from the US are seized in Venezuela

The Sectoral Vice President of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, read a second letter sent by Interpol about the shipment of weapons to Venezuela for destabilizing purposes.

During the 500th broadcast of the television program Con el Mazo Dando, the also Minister of Interior Relations, Justice and Peace, stated that “Interpol is following up on the complaint that we made. Well, gentlemen of Interpol, those weapons were found in Venezuela, they were confiscated and are in the possession of the Bolivarian Government. There are citizens detained for bringing these weapons to Venezuela for terrorist acts,” says a press release.

In the second statement from Interpol, Cabello read that American investigators from said police body determined that two boxes containing firearms were sent on August 10, 2024 to Houston, Texas, and that, in turn, they were transferred to a warehouse located in Miami, in the state of Florida, on August 15, 2024, to subsequently be transported by sea to the Port of La Guaira, with an arrival date of August 29, 2024 or days approximate to said date.

Cabello Rondón highlighted that, although Interpol requested information about the interception of the aforementioned weapons, the citizen security bodies of the Bolivarian Government effectively carried out the seizure of these weapons.

“They know it’s true. There are more than 500 weapons that we have confiscated. Many of them come in parts; for example, in food bags. I said it last time: the cannon comes there, something else comes in another, and they are in parts. We have been capturing, with Seniat doing its job, an extraordinary job. The security bodies are doing the same, and we are going there little by little. We are going to defeat him, and tomorrow those weapons will surely be used by the Venezuelan State to defend Venezuela from the mercenaries that enter this country here,” he concluded.
