Cabello: They are not ashamed to ask for votes after requesting sanctions

The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, questioned this Thursday the position taken by the leaders of the Venezuelan right who are asking the people for votes for the elections, despite the fact that – in recent years – they requested sanctions against the country.

“They know that (in popular areas) are the seeds of the Bolivarian Revolution. It’s those people who don’t have that kind of shame,” Cabello said during a demonstration in Catia, Caracas.

“There is no forgetting here, there is no amnesia here, we cannot forget all the damage that brothers and sisters did to this town, because they (right) have not come, but they probably will. If any of them come, ask them why they asked for a blockade, sanctions, why they asked for foreign forces to come to invade their homeland and promoted invasions, let us not forget the assassination attempt against President Nicolás Maduro,” added the socialist leader in statements broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión.

In this sense, he recalled that, at this time, the revolutionary forces are directly confronting the empire of the United States (USA).

In this regard, he stressed that the right had an agreement with USA to deliver the oil in exchange for money.

“We are facing their boss (on the right). To the one who recently said that we were ready to steal the oil from him (Donald Trump), and they had an agreement with opposition sectors to deliver the oil to the US government in exchange for money, and that the rest of the people could see how they survived,” he stressed.

It should be remembered that, at a press conference from North Carolina, Trump said: “What do you think we are buying oil from Venezuela? When I left, Venezuela was about to collapse. We would have done it! We would have taken all their oil! It would have been right next door! But now we buy oil from Venezuela. We are making a dictator very rich! Can you believe it? Nobody can believe it!”

On the other hand, the socialist leader highlighted the work carried out by the bases of the red awning and stated that it is necessary for the national leadership of the party to be a reflection of the leaders of the streets and communities.

“To the compañeros of the National Directorate, we must resemble our grassroots leaders. Because we meet every Monday, the street and community leaders are on the streets every hour, every day”, he pointed out.
