The Minister of Interior Relations, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, emphasized that the people continue to stand accompanying the Bolivarian Revolution and that “the oligarchy will never again govern the country.”
He made this statement from Bolívar Avenue in Maracay (Aragua), where the march for the Day of Dignity took place, regarding the 34th anniversary of February 4, 1992. Cabello pointed out that “the oligarchy is not considered a people” because they despise it and that is why they do not know it.
«They tell you that when we come to power we will finish off you. They continue to threaten our humble people. When will they come to power? Leave still the one who is still. Leave this town alone. I hope they broadcast to the world what is happening on this avenue and become aware of what is happening here in this state, in Venezuela. Let them be aware of the firm decision of a people to live in peace, in tranquility, but being free and sovereign. We don’t ask anyone for anything. We demand respect and I am sure: sooner rather than later, brother Nicolás Maduro and sister Cilia Flores will be on this avenue,” he exclaimed.
He said that the main task they have now is the return of the President and the first lady, and referred to a sign he saw at the march with the phrase “two missing.”
«Yes, two are missing, Nicolás and Cilia; but we are also missing the more than 100 companions and brothers killed by the bombs. We are also missing those Venezuelans who died of a heart attack. But we have shown that we can rise after the departure of Commander Chávez. “They said that here, when Commander Chávez died, the Bolivarian Revolution was over in a month,” he said.
He specified that the people know the extremists and described them as “bad crafty people, who will never love this people for the main reason that they do not consider themselves a people; because they consider themselves superior to us and they do not know the strength and energy that one gathers when one walks alongside one’s own people, alongside one’s equals, alongside humble people, alongside people who have a conscience and know what they want,” he expressed.
Joana Sánchez: raising awareness
For her part, the governor of the state of Aragua, Joana Sánchez, pointed out that the commitment to the homeland is being reaffirmed on the sacred soil of Maracay. He maintained that the Bolivarian project has great values and, among them, “trust and love” for the people.
He affirmed that the greatest commitment of the people is to raise their consciousness to the maximum, strengthen the popular organization and “act with love, dedication and exemplary performance to continue consecrating the sacred flame of the Bolivarian Revolution.” He said that the people of Aragua have full confidence in the acting president, Delcy Rodríguez, and that the people demand the return of the presidential couple.
Suárez Chourio: we are in the same fight
For his part, G/J Jesús Suárez Chourio, who was part of the February 4 Rebellion, highlighted that, 34 years after February 4, 1992, the fight continues in the historical moment that Venezuela is experiencing.
For this reason, he said that in Maracay, where the February 4 commanders’ movement was born, the people have demonstrated in the streets maintaining “a firm and loyal mobilization, aimed at demanding the return to the homeland of President Nicolás Maduro and the first lady, Cilia Flores.”
