The opposition disagrees with reviewing the cases of people detained for their connection to the acts of violence that occurred in the country after the presidential election on July 28, said the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv ), Diosdado Cabello.
During the usual red awning press conference, Cabello pointed out that the extreme right does not want these detained people to be released, since they would be left without arguments to attack the National Government and they would disappear from public opinion.
“The opposition sectors do not want these people to leave, because they are interested in having a way to generate a scandal, to find a way to stay current. They are nothing and they take advantage of the pain of families, of those people who are detained. It is a vile way of doing politics, but it is the Venezuelan opposition and anything is expected of them,” Cabello highlighted.
In this sense, he explained that while the right has abandoned those who followed them in their violent plans, it is President Nicolás Maduro who has responsibly requested that all the causes linked to the events after July 28 be reviewed.
“Here there is a responsible State. President Nicolás Maduro himself is the one who has asked that the causes of these detainees be reviewed,” he said, while ensuring that right-wing NGOs have not taken any action in favor of these detainees because “they do not care about them, for them they are a business.”
Edmund lies
On the other hand, the Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace also denied that the former far-right presidential candidate, Edmundo González Urrutia, could return to the country to “swear in on January 10.”
“They are being beaten once again. On January 10, the only one who will be sworn in is called Nicolás Maduro Moros. There is not a single possibility that Mr. Edmundo González will set foot in Venezuela without being detained,” he emphasized.
In this sense, he reiterated the complaint about the opposition’s plans to, using the former rector of the CNE, Juan Carlos Del Pino, “swear in” González Urrutia as president of Venezuela. “They live off lies because, for them, politics is a business,” he highlighted.
“The right is not going to stop us, they are not going to stop this town. Let them continue with their campaign, we have our feet planted in reality,” he assured.
“Salarian longliners are hitmen of lying”
Cabello rejected the immoral practices of long-liners aligned with the lies and fake news promoted by the national extreme right, who call themselves journalists but use social communication as a mechanism for an infamous media hitman.
“They live in another reality because that’s what they get paid for,” Cabello said during the usual weekly press conference on the red awning, when asked about the false information spread, this time by journalist Orlando Avendaño, about the alleged suicide of one of those arrested for conspiracy, and about the announcement by the government of Trinidad and Tobago that it denied having signed a military agreement with the United States to threaten Venezuela, reported the state channel.
“Orlando Avendaño is an employee of lies, he is a hitman. Is that journalism? That is not journalism, social communication is something very serious, the journalist requires high levels of ethics and professionalism,” Cabello said.
He highlighted that “longliners like Avendaño are dedicated to scandal, constant lying and have no shame of any kind,” in clear reference to the information they publish and then, when the falsehood is discovered, none of them apologize.
Furthermore, the senior socialist leader highlighted that the Bolivarian Government does not make fun of the suffering that the families of those detained due to destabilization may feel. «I do not make fun of the pain of someone who has a detained relative. I was detained. “Of course, the difference between us is that we rise up against the gringos and we don’t shout at anyone, anyone!” he recalled about the rebellion of the military youth in 1992 against the unpunished genocidal government of Carlos Andrés Pérez, who three years before He had ordered the Caracazo massacre.
“We assumed our ravine and our family assumed it with us; “Back then these mercenaries did not exist, on the contrary, our families went to the prosecutor’s office because they had prohibited our visits,” he recalled. At this point, he highlighted that the journalists of the traditional media of that time, among them Sergio Novelli, when the relatives of the soldiers, and specifically his wife, told him about the illegalities they imposed against their imprisoned loved ones, he replied that ” No, we cannot cover that.”
“This is how the hitmen were against us at that time and today it is against the entire country, because they try to generate anguish in the people,” he testified.
He exemplified with the false news, later denied by the authorities of Trinidad and Tobago, that the stateless right made a splash by publishing that “now, prepare yourselves,” in reference to the supposed imperialist military invasion. He stated that it is the same lie, over and over again, used by the extreme right and the right-wing political leadership. “Where are Erick Prince and Almost Venezuela? “They were scammed and robbed again, because they are the same.”
He warned conscientious opponents not to be fooled about the supposed swearing-in of fugitive former presidential candidate Edmundo González Urrutia. “They say it is that day, January 10, and they believe it is a lie. It is not true that he is going to be sworn in anywhere. The person who will be sworn in with the people is Nicolás Maduro Moros. “They manipulate you and make fun of you,” he reiterated in a message addressed to those who still allow themselves to be fooled by the fascist opposition.
