Marco Rubio, accused of his ties to drug trafficking, will be the first fired from Donald Trump’s government, due to inefficiency or some scandal, Diosdado Cabello said this Wednesday on his program With The Gavel Giving in reference to the nomination of the ultraconservative Marco Rubio to head the State Department for the Republican administration.
“That guy has been attacking Venezuela for 25 years and now I make you a bet: Who do you think is going to be the first fired from the Donald Trump government? I know who! That’s easy, I’m going to Narco Rubio,” he predicted.
The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) dismissed the campaign carried out by opposition extremism to intimidate Venezuelans with the arrival of the ultraconservative to US diplomacy.
“Keep believing. Now the savior for these people is not Erik Prince but Narco Rubio,” he ironized.
Marco Rubio is a fairly familiar name in Venezuelaand not exactly for rewarding experiences. The son of dissident Cuban emigrants, the politician has made his career in the United States raising an extremist voice against governments independent of Washington’s policies, such as Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Iran or China.
Rubio, born in 1971 in Miami, is considered a ‘hawk’ in foreign policy, a supporter of a tough line with China and Iran, and sanctions on Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua. He gained national popularity when he participated in the 2016 Republican presidential primary, in which he faced Trump.
