The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, highlighted on Monday the work carried out by the manager Jorge Luis Garcia Carneiro to turn La Guaira into a bastion of revolutionary unity.
“La Guaira has become a region of unity for the revolutionary forces,” Cabello said during the inauguration of a monument in homage to García Carneiro in La Guaira.
During the inauguration of the square in honor of General Jorge Luis García Carneiro, Cabello highlighted his loyalty not only to President Nicolás Maduro, but also to Commander Hugo Chávez, to the point of being present on April 11, 12 and 13, accompanying the people for their rescue in the coup.
“Man of loyalty of April 11, 12, 13, of the permanent example, of tireless work,” he said.
“García Carneiro is present with us, he gives us strength not to give up and continue fighting alongside Nicolás. For them, for the martyrs of our Homeland, women and men are obliged to raise the flags of García Carneiro”, added the revolutionary leader.
In this sense, he pointed out that García Carneiro was able, by example, to make known the role of each one in the revolutionary ranks.
“The grassroots militant has perfectly understood his role and the task he must fulfill. García Carneiro faithfully complied with his word and many things can be said about his friendship with Commander Chávez,” he pointed out.
