Cabello: Ida de Guaidó to the US sought to secure the sale of Citgo

The purpose of Juan Guaidó’s departure to the United States was to ensure that the sale of citgoby the North American administration, came true, it is no coincidence that the greatest traitor to the Homeland left for American soil just a week before, highlighted the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Hair.

During the act of commemoration of the three years of the defeat to the Operation Gideon by the people together with the civic-military union, Cabello from La Guaira, stressed that Guaidó only needed citgo to finish stealing the resources of the Venezuelans.

“A week before, one of the greatest traitors to the Homeland that this land has had, Juan Guaidó, where did he go, he went to the United States and went to ensure that the sale of Citgo was a reality, that is not a coincidence. He only needed that to steal what belongs to all Venezuelans,” he stressed.

Given this, the First Vice President of the PSUV reiterated that sooner or later there will be justice for all those who have harmed the Homeland and all the Venezuelan people.

“They believe that there will be no justice here, there will not only be justice, we are convinced that it will be exemplary and will go where it has to go,” he emphasized.

Communiqué from Venezuela: nullity in dispossession

The Government of Venezuela issued this Monday a statement rejecting the attempted dispossession of the Citgo company by the authorities of the United States, USA, in alliance with sectors of the opposition extremism grouped in the so-called “Unitary Platform”.

In the text released by the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, through his account on the social network Twitter, Venezuela denounces before the international community the policy of sustained aggression of the US Government, through restrictive and punitive measures, that constitute a looting of the resources of the Venezuelan people.

Citgo auction prepared

This Monday the United States, through the Office of Foreign Assets Control (Ofac), issued the general license number 42 where it “authorizes” the ex-deputies belonging to the opposition extremism to carry out transactions related to debt negotiations of the Government of Venezuela, PDVSA or any entity in which the Republic has a participation equal to or greater than 50%.

This measure, which has been denounced by Venezuela as “a blatant robbery attempt” of Citgo, arises after the Delaware Court of Justice authorized Venezuelan debt creditors to seize the Venezuelan company.

This action that the Venezuelan authorities have denounced as null and void, empowers the members of the extinct National Assembly of 2015 to designate those in charge of establishing these negotiations that Venezuela has already indicated that they will ignore.

Operation Gideon: three years later

On May 3, 2020, Operation Gideon, a maritime incursion that sought to invade the coastal area of La Guaira state by mercenary groups that sought to destabilize the country and overthrow the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, was neutralized after the actions of the Bolivarian National Armed Force.

Regarding this day, the first vice president of the PSUV, Diosdado Cabello, reiterated that three years after that operation, the opposition together with the United States government have not stopped attacking Venezuela.

“They have not stopped attacking this Homeland for a moment, they have not stopped persecuting this Homeland for a moment, and they have achieved internal complicity, they have managed to defeat the will of someone and those have gone to join the ranks of the treason,” Cabello said.

He recalled that the possibilities that the United States and its lackeys have tried to put an end to the Bolivarian Revolution have been few.

“Three years ago they tried to invade because what they tried was an invasion, with national mercenaries and imperialist mercenaries. An operation led by someone who somehow worked for the former president, Donald Trump, and who organized the invasion of the border areas of Venezuela in 2019. These people were hired by the self-proclaimed, Juan Guaidó,” he added.

heroic people

Faced with this episode of betrayal, Cabello praised the heroic acts carried out by the national security forces, who on May 3, 2020 fought the failed Operation Gideon.

Likewise, he stressed once again that they will not be able to with the Bolivarian Revolution, “they continue to underestimate us and if they do, we will defeat them anyway.”

He noted that “the people know what our destiny is and they know all the threats we face, let’s not let ourselves be threatened, we have experience and arguments to face whoever, morale high and always like that day we will defeat them.

“Let’s continue to be proud and remember that they will not pass through La Guaira here,” he added.

May 3: Anti-imperialism Day in La Guaira

For his part, the governor of the state of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán, decreed this May 3 as Anti-Imperialism Day in the region.

“They will not pass through the coasts of La Guaira and we have that great commitment. Here, a planned operation was carried out in Colombia and intended to commit an assassination,” he said.

In addition, he gave awards to different security officials for fighting and repressing the imperialist aggression of Operation Gideon, which was intended to undermine national sovereignty.

Vice Admiral Gustavo Romero, present at the event, commented that the events took place on May 3, 2020 in Macuto, La Guaira state.

“A special recognition to the State intelligence agencies that, with their high political level, decipher the damage they intend to do to the Republic,” he said.

The acts to commemorate the defeat of Operation Gideon began with the words of the vice president of mobilization and events of the PSUV, Nahum Fernández, who recalled the events of that day and asked for a minute of applause to commemorate and honor the triumph of the Venezuelan people.
