The first vice president of United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, emphasized this Thursday that the base structures of the red awning – chosen between the months of August and September -; they must obey the mandate of popular power.
«The base structures obey the mandate of the popular power in each street, community and UBCh (Bolívar-Chávez Battle Units). They already carry implicit tasks that were in the programmatic lines of this process. We are proposing to organize, unite and add,” said the first vice president of the PSUV during a swearing-in ceremony, headed by the party’s president, Nicolás Maduro.
Cabello highlighted the swearing-in day that took place throughout the national territory, ending this Thursday in Caracas.
In this regard, he pointed out that it is necessary for all the elected members to assume all the tasks in order to consolidate the changes that the country requires.
“We swore to our comrades and this oath was received by our people as an oath of loyalty, commitment, a union of solidarity, a commitment to the legacy of Commander (Hugo) Chávez, with the construction of the socialist model, with a commitment to the Homeland, with you and with the people of Venezuela,” he added.
In this sense, he asserted that one of the main tasks that the new structures of the party bases will have is to work to conquer “all the victories that we have to conquer.”
“Caracas and Venezuela is ready to face any circumstance. If the CNE (National Electoral Council) advances elections tomorrow, we are ready to win again anywhere,” added the socialist leader from the Poliedro de Caracas.
The PSUV structures were elected in community assemblies between August 13 and September 3, with a total of more than 260,000 for street leaders; at least 44,000 from communities and more than 14,000 UBCH.
