The Sectoral Vice President of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, committed to the creation of an “extraordinary recovery program” of the infrastructure and the provision of equipment for officials of the Risk Management system at the national level.
Hair On Tuesday night he led the event for the 23rd Anniversary of Civil Protection (PC), in which he expressed “great pride” for this body, which he recognized and congratulated for its work and duty.
“It fills us with a lot of emotion and affection, with an extraordinary admiration for you men and women who have no rest, because when the emergency calls you say present,” he highlighted.
He stressed that in capitalism there is no system of protection and security like the one devised by Commander Hugo Chávez and continued by President Nicolás Maduro in Venezuela, which was evidenced by the tragedy of Valencia, Spain, in which more than 200 people perished. and generated widespread criticism against the Spanish Government for its late response.
Likewise, he praised the work of the Simón Bolívar Humanitarian Task Force for its cooperation and dedication to saving lives in the recent natural disasters that have occurred in countries in the region.
Likewise, Cabello reported that the Bolivarian Government has repaired 30 cameras on the Caracas-La Guaira highway, equipment with which it is possible to obtain, in real time, what happens 24 hours a day on the busy road.
Before the start of the central event held in the Plaza Bolívar-Chávez in the state of La Guaira, the also Minister of Interior Relations, Justice and Peace supervised a drill by the officials of the Risk Management System of Quadrant P16 of the coastal entity, who controlled a gas cylinder deflagration event and the rescue of an injured person.
“All this has to do with the organic structure; working together the peace quadrant P16 coordinated with the national government and the security agencies of the Government, the Mayor’s Office, the Civil Protection colleagues, firefighters (…) teamwork that is what guarantees early victory, which is what It ensures people’s lives,” he said.
Civil Protection “next to the people”
For his part, Admiral Juan Carlos Oti, vice minister for Risk Management and Civil Protection, explained that the rescue organization has 5,235 officials at the service of the Venezuelan people in more than 285 headquarters nationwide.
He also pointed out that “they are on the side of the people” in the more than 3 thousand Peace Quadrants, and that it is planned to assign a PC official and one of the Firefighters to each of these organizations.
“Today we reach this 23rd anniversary, here in the state of La Guaira, also commemorating the 25 years of the Vargas tragedy, which led Commander Hugo Chávez to elevate what was previously known as Civil Defense to the rank of Civil Protection,” he recalled.
Oti reported that the firefighters and Civil Protection personnel received equipment to carry out their functions and highlighted that 30 motorcycles, rapid intervention vehicles, as well as “super tankers” for the drought period have been recovered.
