Cabello describes the US argument to attack Venezuela as a “false positive”

The argument used by the United States (US) to justify a military attack in Venezuela is a “false positive,” said the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón.

In this sense, Cabello insisted that the truth prevails, and that “the whole world knows that Venezuela is not a center of drug trafficking; it does not produce, it does not process, it does not traffic, nor is it a center of terrorism. On the contrary, we are the ones who are being accused to justify aggression.”

Likewise, the secretary general of the PSUV praised Samuel Moncada’s speech before the UN, calling it “a master class in peace diplomacy”, a policy that, he recalled, was promoted by President Nicolás Maduro when he was Chancellor, who followed the instructions of Commander Hugo Chávez.

Finally, Cabello stressed that if the US authorities aspire to put an end to drug trafficking, instead of unjustifiably threatening Venezuela, they should combat the drug trafficking that occurs along the coasts of South America towards the Pacific Ocean, where 87% of narcotics are transported, and arrest any North American drug trafficking boss who is in the United States.
