Diosdado Cabello accused former councilor Jesús Armas of being María Corina Machado’s “financier” and of having betrayed Palocz during an interrogation.
The Minister of the Interior and Justice and first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, confirmed on the night of Wednesday, December 18, that the politician Luis Palocz was detained by the authorities and that, allegedly, he has links with the commissioner Ivan Simonovis; who would have given him instructions to create chaos in the country on January 10.
Cabello said that Palocz is a “liaison” for Simonovis in Venezuela and that he would have been entrusted with making a list “with the exact location” of the opponents who do not support María Corina Machado, as well as the government officials who live in Chacao to do so. “selective attacks with the support of the Aragua Train.”
In addition, he pointed out that he allegedly had a plan to put up barricades at the entrances to the Mirandina jurisdiction for the day of Nicolás Maduro’s inauguration and generate “a focus of guarimba” that would spread to the country.
Likewise, he pointed out former councilor Jesús Armas as María Corina Machado’s “financier”; as well as having betrayed Palocz during an interrogation “to save himself.” He said that he gave a list to the security forces of businessmen and leaders close to the coordinator of Vente Venezuela; that they would be involved in “terrorist actions” for January 10.
He gave some names such as Marcial Calleja, Xiomara Sierra, Cristóbal Hernández, Gabriel Bracho, Luis Somaza, Simón Canelón, Luis Amundaray, Jonathan Carrillo, who was former vice president of the FCU-UCV; pointing this out in addition to having an NGO financed by the US and using the relatives of prisoners as “cannon fodder” in protests prior to January 10.

Diosdado Cabello also accused the opposition of training Venezuelans outside the country in order for them to enter and generate a civil war.

Regarding the Argentine gendarme Nahuel Gallo, detained in recent days by State security forces, Diosdado Cabello stated that he is part of the Argentine intelligence services with the alleged mission of covering up, contacting Simonovis, and carrying out an operation to extract to the six opponents at the Embassy of the South American nation in Caracas; operation that was going to be carried out between December 23 and 25 together with some “paracos” who would enter Venezuela on the weekend.

He took advantage of calling the head of Argentina’s Security portfolio, Patricia Bullrich, a “fascist” and “sick with hate,” who last week demanded the release of Gallo from the Government of Nicolás Maduro.
“She is a fascist, a fascist, a sick person, sick with hatred,” said Cabello, who rejected the Argentine Government’s version of a trip by gendarme Nahuel Gallo to visit his partner, a Venezuelan national, and his son.
According to Cabello, the authorities found “more than 470 rifles” with which they intended to “cause deaths” in the country.

He pointed out that Edmundo González Urrutia would have Machado’s order to hold interviews and maintain the hope that he would arrive in Caracas on January 10 to “keep the attention” of the people. He pointed out that, if the entry plan does not work, he would be sworn in from Aruba or Bonaire.
