Cabello: CIA and Spanish intelligence are at the forefront of terrorist plan

The United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the National Intelligence Center of Spain are leading the terrorist operation that they intended to carry out in the country, denounced the vice president of the Policy, Citizen Security and Peace sector, Diosdado Cabello.

During a press conference held on Saturday, he indicated that these international organizations work hand in hand with figures linked to the extreme Venezuelan opposition, who have taken charge of contacts for arms trafficking and hiring criminals.

“Behind the arms trafficking operation is Ivan Simonovis. And his direct links are Juan Pablo Guanipa, Carlos Vecchio, Julio Borges, Maria Corina Machado, for these operations of violence against our country,” he stressed.

In this regard, he demanded, on behalf of the Venezuelan Government, that the Joe Biden administration clarify the participation of its agencies and the use of its territory for arms trafficking to overthrow a democratic government elected by its people.

In this regard, he assured that the National Government will use all means to defeat these groups of mercernaries and terrorists who seek to undermine peace in the country. “We will be extremely rigid and severe in the defense of security and peace in Venezuela,” he stressed.

Attack on services

Likewise, the Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace denounced that the terrorist plans against the country included attacks on the headquarters of the Public Powers and on electricity, water and transportation services.

“The plans included carrying out terrorist attacks on facilities linked to water, electricity and transportation services. Cyberattacks on state agencies. We want the world to know that Venezuela is under siege by imperialism,” he said, adding that María Corina Machado is no stranger to these plans.

He stressed that these plans are a “major attack” against the peace and stability of the country. “I want to remind Venezuelan citizens that there are no bombs that only kill Chavistas, there are no ammunition that only kill Chavistas. The victims who have nothing to do with it are considered collateral damage, and they will care little,” he said.

In this regard, Cabello repudiated the use of “parapolitics” by the opposition to generate chaos, violence and anarchy. “They believe that with this operation they are going to overthrow the Government of Nicolás Maduro.”

Fighting crime

Cabello also stressed that Venezuela is waging a tough battle against drug trafficking, which is the reason for the attacks from the United States, which uses false positives to support its narrative against the country.

“The world should know that Guaidó’s plans, when he named himself president of Narnia, included giving Colombia, the narco-paramilitaries, an exit through the Caribbean Sea. He even wanted to give them La Guajira so they could go directly to the United States. We fight criminals, all those who traffic drugs,” he said.
